About us
"No matter how little money and how few
possessions you own, having a dog makes you rich."
Louis Sabin
We are Maja and Darko Korošec and dogs have been
an important part of our lives since our early childhood.
We have three children Maša, Matjaz and Gregor,
aged 21, 19 and 17. Dogs and dog activities are our family hobby. All three kids
competed in Junior Handling with great success. Matjaž and Maša represented our countfy
in JH competition at Crufts and at World and European shows several times.
We live in the little idyllic village
Kocno on Pohorje mountain near
Maribor. Kocno was awarded as the most
beautiful village in Slovenia in 2006.
We keep a limited number of dogs at our home so they can live like real family
members. Under the registered affix Moetica and Mylegend we breed Keeshond,
Kleinspitz and Pomeranian on a limited basis.
Together we have won with our dogs more than 100 junior, national and
international championships and also European Winner, European Junior
Winner, European Veteran Winner, World
Junior Winner and World Veteran Vinner titles. We
have bred many champions and also European Winners, European Junor Winners and
World Junior Winners. Dogs from our breeding are successful in agility and
obedience as well, one qualified also as a search and rescue dog.
Our aim is to breed typical and healthy dogs with good temperament.
Breeding is a very demanding task. We have been always trying to get the best
dogs for our breeding program so
we have imported dogs from a number of
countries: Australia, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czechia, Estonia,
Finland, France, Great Britain, Netherlands,
Norway, Russia, Switzerland and the USA.
Although we like showing, we foremost wish to
provide loving homes for our puppies where they
will live like real family members.
Dogs bred by us live
also in Austria, Brazil, Italy, France, Hungary, Iceland, Norway, Croatia,
Germany, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Czechia, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Great Britain,
Serbia, Russia, USA, Japan and South Korea.
We are active members and have various positions
in the Club for Nordic breeds and Spitz of Slovenia, Toy Club of
Slovenia and the Terrier Club
of Slovenia. We also work in different
show committees and we are both international
dog judges.
We show and breed German Spitz - Keeshond, Kleinspitz and Pomeranian. We have been sharing our lives with
different breeds in the past and each of our dogs, past or present, made our lives happier:
Papillon,
Coton de Tulear,
Tibetan Spaniels,
Bearded Collies,
Samoyeds,
Scottish Terriers,
Australian Silky Terriers,
Kerry
Blue and Bichon Frise, not to forget
that long time ago Maja's first dog was a Poodle and Darko's first dog was a
mixed breed farm dog.
Maja Korošec
I
have always loved animals, especially dogs. I was begging my parents for years to let me have a dog. They finally gave up and fulfilled my
greatest wish. They bought a dog under one condition: I must take care of him by
myself. I was eight years old then and I think I was the happiest child in the
whole world. I didn't care what kind of dog would it be. Our neighbour had a
litter of black Poodles and so I got my very own dog, a little black
bundle of joy. I kept my promise and was taking care of her entirely by myself.
Soon I was starting reading books about dogs and I did a lot of training with
her. I also bred my first litter ages ago, in 1981. In my teens horses were my
greatest point of interest and spent a lot of time riding.
I got more seriously involved
with dogs when my husband Darko and I bought our
first dog together in 1993. This was a Samoyed
and first I was training agility with her. We
also starting showing. We have always liked
different breeds. We became very active in
showing, breeding and serving in different dog
clubs so dogs quickly became our main hobby and
occupied almost all our spare time.
I became a judge in 2001.
Today I am an international judge for FCI groups
1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9. and 10. Till now I was judging in
Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland,
Germany, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Luxembourg, Norway, Poland, Russia, San Marino, Serbia, Sweden and of course in Slovenia. I have seen
many beautiful dogs and met a number of
wonderful dog people.
I am the president of the Club for Nordic Breeds and Spitz of
Slovenia, Vice-president of the Toy Club of Slovenia and the board member
of the Terrier Club of Slovenia. I was awarded with Silver and
Golden Order by Slovenian Kennel Club.
I have an university degree
in economics and psychology and a post graduate diploma in
pedagogic science.

Dogs have been my friends since
my early childhood. I grew up on a small farm and we have always had one or two
dogs. I got more seriously involved
with dogs when my wife Maja and I bought our first dog together in 1993 and we
started going to shows. Our first champion was the Australian Silky Terrier Ch Darsa's
Robin Hood. We have always liked different breeds. We became very active in
showing, breeding and serving in different dog clubs, so dogs quickly became
our main hobby and occupied almost all our spare time.
I became a judge in 2001. Today I am an international judge for FCI groups 1, 2, 3,
5, 8, 9 and 10. Till now I was judging besides in Slovenia also in Austria,
Bosnia and Herzegovina, Belgium,
Croatia, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Luxembourg,
Norway, Poland, San Marino, Serbia, Slovakia, Spain,
Sweden and Ukraine.
I also served in the Statutory Commission of Slovenian Kennel Club as a
president. I am a member of the Breeding Commission for spitz and primitive type
breeds. I was awarded with Silver and Golden Order by Slovenian Kennel Club.
I have an university degree in electrical engineering. I work as a teacher of
computer science.
I am an active member of Tourist Society Kocno and our village was awarded as
the most beautiful village in
Slovenia in 2006.
Till the nineties I was very
active in beekeeping, working with the bees as well as serving at the Beekeeping
Association of Slovenia. But now unfortunately I don't have enough time for this
peaceful hobby anymore.

lives whole."
